After keeping to her homes in France and Germany, Angelina Jolie emerged yesterday for the cameras stateside.
Jolie – who arrived in New York earlier this week – stepped out last night for a dinner with Clint Eastwood, her Changeling director, and co-star Amy Ryan. It’s the first time she’s braved the paparazzi since the arrivals of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
She’s been hard at work on the New York City set of her latest film “Salt,” but Angelina Jolie may have to deal with her late mother’s back taxes before long.
According to a report, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away after a long battle with illness back in January of 2007, owes the State of California $62,928.70 in unpaid taxes.
And the State has filed a creditor’s claim against Jolie’s mom, seeking to recover the owed monies from Bertrand’s estate.
The report breaks it down in the following form- Bertrand owed $43,699 in back taxes, $10,924.75 in penalties, and $8,304.95 in interest.
We’re finding out that Angelina Jolie is just like the rest of us. The rest of us being the mums, whose kids and spouse drive them crazy on a daily basis.
She on the other hand can decide that the nannies really need to earn their money and head off to places unknown.
I wonder where she chooses to go. Does she go shopping? Nah, she doesn’t seem like the retail therapy kind of girl. Hmmm, maybe the shooting range. That seems like it would be right up her alley. Personally I would like some time in a sensory deprivation tank. AHHH, that sounds nice.
It seems that Angelina’s need to get away is taking its toll on her relationship with Brad, which is like saying they have their good days and bad days too.
They are just at the, please go away i don’t want to hear you breathe in the same room, stage of their relationship. It’s perfectly normal.
Yes, I know the photo is obviously older, (she still has her Billy Bob tattoo) but it conveyed the thought I was going for.

Angelina Jolie is looking like Jennifer Aniston and has gone blonde, though she is not trying for any kind of solidarity with her nemesis Jennifer Aniston, it’s for a movie role in Salt.
Us magazine notes that puffy-lipped screen siren Angelina Jolie in the upcoming CIA thriller Salt is a blonde.
The mag reports that she has many different looks in the film, including a soft-looking blonde and a raven-haired femme fatale “who easily could be concealing a dagger or a gun,”

Jennifer Aniston now insists that she’s not the one who’s been beating the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie dead divorce horse to promote her movies.
It’s all the media’s fault for harping on the subject in every interview.
“‘No matter what I say, things will always be taken out of context and misinterpreted, will always be turned around to make it seem as though I won’t let something go, or that I just keep talking about it over and over,” she patiently explains to Elle UK in an interview done months before her Oscar appearance and onstage Brangelina confrontation.
“I don’t owe anybody my side of the story. There are no sides! There is no bad guy and there is no good guy. There are no villains and there is no heroine in this story. It’s just not the case.”
In the interview, she also gets in a mention of her new films, “Marley & Me” and “He’s Just Not That Into You.”
And while she admits she’s usually offered “funny, quirky, pretty roles,” she’d love to do an action-packed thriller. “James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig! … of fun!,” she exclaims.
Hey now, hold on a minute. That’s Angelina Jolie’s turf! But … wouldn’t that be interesting?

With her love life nice and stable (apparently in spite of what the media says), with her new twins now a well-established three months of age and a hot new movie ready to debut, what could Jolie possibly add to the mix? …
How about another kid? Sure, she’s only got six (and counting).
As hard as it might be to believe, Angelina Jolie does have her “off” days.
Monday night in Berlin, Jolie arrived at the Benjamin Button premiere with an ultra glam ‘do. Unfortunately, the ‘50s bouffant made the Changeling star look more matronly rather than sexy.
And, yes – your eyes are not deceiving you. Angelina also brought back another era by wearing just one Asprey earring. For all of you stuck in the ‘80s: Your time has come again!
In the upcoming issue of W, the world will get a chance to see intimate portraits of Angelina Jolie taken from a unique perspective. For this photo shoot (which took place just weeks after Vivienne and Knox were born), the man behind the camera was someone the subjects knew quite well: Brad Pitt.
While much has been made of the breastfeeding mom on the cover, the pictures within the issue – especially the ones involving the older children – are equally as beautiful.
